(Did you see a movie that hasn't been reviewed or rated?  If you have some comments, this is where they go!)

Monkey Bone - Lowenthal -  - Just saw this on DVD (which just came out). Fuzzy is all about theatrical releases, bu that's just the point. This film was in theater for like 6 days. There is a whole story to be written (HAS been written, actually, see Salon.com and elsewhere) about why Monkey Bone was marketed the way it was (i.e. not at all). Now people (including me thank God) will have a chance to see this movie, which has the most brilliant effects and freaked out monsters and animation since Nightmare Before Christmas (by the same director though his name escapes me at the moment). I am not usually moved to evangelize for movies, but SEE THIS! - (7/26/01)

    A Walk in the Clouds - chat_lapoin@yahoo.com -  - C'est Bion - (6/26/01)

Down To You - Elena -  - The best film in my life, i love freedie so so so much, it's very beautiful, have a nice life Freedi. - (6/10/01)

Tomcats - devon182@hotmail.com -  - I love the movie Tomcats, It had me rolling in the asile laughing, and almost gaging when the doctor ate the "testicle" for lunch. A pretty predicable ending, you just had to knew those two would get together, and they did. But it was funny, clever, and not to predicable. I liked it, and Ill see it again. - (4/23/01)

Left Behind - yahhalady@yahoo.com -  - great movie, i rate it that, compared to all the other crappy movies they make nowdays! hollywood, oughta get a grip and quit makin sick movies like, hannibal and the blaire witch! - (4/17/01)

Spy Kids - wcgreens@ispchannel.com -  - I pulled my kids out of this movie becaue it was too violent. My kids are ages 9,10, 11. My kids agreed that it was too violent. My son suggested that we get our money back. Much of it was violent, but the scene that prompted our walking out was the one in which the woman head catches on fire. No child should witness a scene such as that. From now on I will not permit my children to watch any thing other than G movies. I also have a 13 year old. I do not know at what age I will permit them to watch any thing other than G. After watching Spy Kid (pg), they might have to wait until they are 18. Lisa Thurman, MSW,LCSW,CCAS - (4/7/01)

Down To You - Cynthia Contreras -  - I loved the movie DownToYou it was the romantic movie that I have ever seen.I think that Freedie and justin are like the cuttest guys in the entire world. The movie was kind of sad because she cheated on freedie in the movie.I wish I was freedie's girlfriend in stead of buffy. - (2/17/01)

Escanaba in da Moonlight - tolman2@yahoo.com -  - Only 1 star because there was no lower rating. This is a terrible movie on all counts. It claims to be a comedy but the climactic humorous moment involves bodily functions that amuse 8 year olds. It's message, if there is one, is trite (it doesn't matter what you believe as long as you believe), if not blasphemous. Stay away! - (2/11/01)

Down To You - mel_190@mailcity.com -  - Freedy P. Jr. is the hottest guy on earth. The movie "Down To You"is a great movie. Freedy looks so hot in it that he made me go see the movie 6 time. FREEDY YOU ROCK - (2/3/01)

Sleepy Hollow - Dracula -  - I thought Jonny Depp did amazing job. He and Christaina Recce worked great on screen you could feel the passion between them. The ending was great you never thought that was going to happen. I loved the make-up on all the people I mean when the head rolls of that person that just died it looked so real. I liked the make-up best on the head less hourseman. - (2/2/01)

Down To You - cutie831211@yahoo.com -  - Freddy prince Jr. is one of the most best and most good looking actors, he probebly knows that but, he realy inspires me to keep on going for my dreams, just by looking at him. he gives my hope for a new day to look forward to acheive my goals thanks. - (1/17/01)

Empire Records - rachampton@nc.rr.com -  - i loved this movie soo much!! it was so rad, i cant even explain how cool it was. very awsome acting and it was totally funny!! - (12/30/00)

    Never Been Kissed - Babybabe -  - (12/20/00)

Excorcist - rickyd35@hotmail.com -  - I have a common question: how did the little girl die on the set? Was she posessed or was she scared to death. - (12/10/00)

Pee-Wee's Big Adventure - astrocreep69@hotmail.com -  - A true Tim Burton classic!Paul Reubens stars as a 20-something year old man with the mind of a kindergarten student who embarks on a quest to find his most treasured possesion.A cherry-red ugly bicycle. The special effects are truly awesome and the humor is non-stop!It's recommended especially if you have one of those days.Sometimes I wonder. Is this the same dude who got caught,y'know......uuummmm......LOL! - (11/28/00)

Titan AE - astrocreep69@hotmail.com -  - I can't believe I actually wasted my precious time and even more precious money on this overrated piece of crap. This animated garbage is such a rip-off of many animated and unanimated movies.(Heavy Metal,Star Wars,Akira....)This movie is like a hug me version of Heavy Metal.I'd rather watch old episodes of Thundarr the Barbarian on Cartoon Network. - (11/28/00)

Heavy Metal 2000 - astrocreep69@hotmail.com -  - O.K.What the f**k happened here?I know it's impossible to catch lightning in a bottle twice, but dammit! This was an utter disappointment and a complete waste of time ,money, and film. Much like all Hollywood sequels this was unnessecary. The movie seems rushed and the story is too focused on foul language and corny one-liners.A labotomy seems more entertaining than sitting through this! Two stars are for the soundtrack and the one star left is for the flick itself!Oh,well. At least it's better than Titan A.E. - (11/28/00)

Heavy Metal - astrocreep69@hotmail.com -  - The Ivan Rietman animated masterpiece. This flick makes Titan A.E. seem like a Saturday morning cartoon.Of course, special effects-wise Titan delivers the goods, but in terms of plot and just overall kick-a$$ characters Heavy Metal is just THE greatest adult animated movie! Whether it's Harry Canyon(LOL!Get it?)or Tarna the Taraakian warrior or even the cool 70's classic rock soundtrack,Heavy Metal truly is the undisputed animation champ considering it was made in '81. - (11/28/00)

The Replacements - alexiaspacey@hotmail.com -  - The humor behind every scene is remarkable. Imagine a group trying to be professional football players...with different strengths and weaknesses...realistic and funny moves...you are the fastest player who could run but can't catch a ball...you are deaf (and cute)...you are a criminal...you are a cop with a bad behaviour...you kick any ball as high as buildings and that's the only thing you do aside from smoking in the field...you are a former sumo-wrestler...you are a former football player who screwed up last season (and everyone was watching)...you are a priest...and your cheerleaders are bargirls.I watched this movie after being scolded by the boss and I felt fine after. - (11/10/00)

Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows - Ed -  - Well, The Blair Witch Project was one hell of a good movie. However, the sequel was rather disappointing. Everything that was scary in the first flick, was left out of this one. The first movie left everything up to your imagination, which quite frankly (unless you are a moron), is more scary than anything a movie can dazzle infront of your eyes. Book of Shadows had great potential, but instead of trying to tell a cool story, the director turned it into a cheap horror film. The "legend" behind the story is far more entertaining to actually sit down and read about than going to the theatre. So why didn't they just try to tell a good story instead of making something you've seen a thousand times before? I have NO clue! - (11/10/00)

Big Green - rfksecond2@cs.com -  - OH boy. This was bad. The only redeeming quality was the amusing goat that came out before the movie started and and said "The Big Greem". Okay, this is creative! A bunch of misfits form a soccer team coached by some european woman and amazingly beat the black team to win it all. Everybody goes home happy, except for those who had to suffer through the movie itself - (10/28/00)

Rocky IV - kernx@cs.com -  - as the rocky sequels declined with each movie after( rocky ) rocky 4 left you wondering how much worse rocky 5 could possibly be. what a shame that a great movie could be followed by such trash. - (10/28/00)

American Psycho - kernx@cs.com -  - another over advertised, overrated crap movie that's badly acted, has a ridiculous plot and leaves you wondering just what the damn thing was about anyway. - (10/28/00)

Bedazzled - geoddl@tomgi.com -  - Brendan does an awsome job in this movie and it is so funny! - (10/19/00)

Down To You - Babby Bunny Q.T-y -  - Freedy has THE BEST BUTT!!! And i soooooooo CUTE!!! - (9/19/00)

This Kiss - sajjaduae@sgi27.netservers.net -  - i love to see the kisses in the movies but i do not know what reall is this movie about? - (9/14/00)

Aliens - sam2sweet@backstreetboys.com -  - This is the best movie ever made. It's just as great as the original and maybe more so because of the extended cast and special effects. This movie carries itself and the 3rd and 4th of this leggacy are a discrace to the Alien name. My father loves the first and I love the second ... Newt was great and Bishop, Vasquez, Hicks, Huddsen and of course the always wonderful Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) made this the absolute best movie out there. - (9/9/00)

Losing Grace - rphavens@hotmail.com - The makers of the independent movie Losing Grace have given a documentary film crew full access to the behind the scenes footage, all the way to the premiere. The crew then edits and posts footage daily (in 5 min increments) to the movie's website. www.greenvalleyent.com thought you'd like to know. - (8/29/00)

Scary Movie - mikes79@coolsend.com -  - I think this movie was a pretty good movie, but the charatures names where to much like the movie "Sceam". The movie was funny at some parts, but it was a stupid funny.

    X-Men -  - Tanesha Clausell - (8/4/00)

This Kiss -  - It was reley goo i woyld go and watch it agian - (7/22/00)

City of Gold -  - Its the best movie i ever see its comedy and action for me - (7/18/00)

X-Men -  - gillianlover@hotmail.com - What I loved most about X-Men was that it wasn't merely an action/sci-fi film with a plot draftily written around the special effects. It was an interesting look at racism, prejudice, injustice and above all, being different. And these issues were dealt with for most of the film, not just in the fleet of the moment. Where else in comic book movies can you find such important issues? Jackman and Paquin were absolute stand-outs in their roles and the interraction between Stewart and McKellen was quite interesting. Some effects didn't work, and the action scenes were never "brilliant", but they were still good and, as I said before, not the point of the movie -- the point of the movie was the character development and the story which reflect real-life issues. Many people criticise the climax...yes, it does blatantly leave the door open for a sequel, and so there is no "closure" or "resolve" as such...but then again, the same was with "The X-Files" movie, but since both X-Men and X-Files are ongoing mythologies, it was necessary to leave the door open for more stories. I just hope that the initial cast remains intact for the sequel. - (7/15/00)

The Beach -  - midgey_123@yahoo.com - i have one thing to say, LEO IS THE HOTTEST BABE ON THIS PLANET!!!!!! but apart from that, the movie is excellent, an the storyline terrific. - (7/14/00)

The Faculty -  - Diann Muller - Absolutely brilliant from my point of view. really nice guys in there such as Josh Arnett and ect.. Well I give it thumbs up those guys did great - (7/12/00)

Down To You -  - qusit@ihug.com.au - I love the movie Freddie Prinze Jr is a hot babe. I only enjoyed the movie because i was always looking at him. I wasn't even interested about anything else.Hey Freddie your a babe. Ilove ya sexy.>From your #1 fan sarah Enes. - (7/8/00)

Boys and Girls -  - tess_a_2000@yahoo.com - I love every movie with Freedie Prinze Jr. I think this one was cool beaues I wint to go see it on my B-day so that makes it very cool. I love you Freedie! - (6/29/00)

Me, Myself and Irene -  - gillianlover@hotmail.com - Sure the plot was paper-thin, but most of the jokes worked and I was quite surprised at how much, and how hard, I laughed. Jim Carrey is the only actor who could have pulled off the part. - (6/24/00)

Music From The Heart -  - babypink89@hotmail.com - I love the movie Music from the heart because I really like Meryl Streep. And I also play the violin . I really think it needs 5 stars because it is one of the best films that I have ever seen. I like Meryl Streep just how I love David Hoflin, he looks so nice. - (6/14/00)

Mermaid's Scar -  - Fan of Gene Siskel - Yet another animation that has been ignored and tossed away like trash! I am sorry if you haven't seen it. The story was cut alot, but it still gave a chilling account of a great tale. Yuta is a immortal. He has lived for nearly 500 years because he eaten mermaid's flesh. He and another immortal, Mana, are traveling to Tokyo where they enconter this young boy and his mother. Somehow, Yuta and Mana get invovled with the strange doings and the rumors about the mother. The original story, which I have the trade of, goes into a little bit more detail, though it isn't one of my favorite stories mentioned IN the trade itself. As for the movie it was exellent. The score was nearly perfect, giving a chilling account to the horror story and the story remains loyal to the original. I recomend it! And listen for some of the quotes too. There rae alot of good ones. I haven't seen Mermaid's forest yet, but I will soon enough. The creator of Mermaid's Scar by the way, is the same person who created Ranma 1/2. - (5/24/00)

Mystery Science Theatre 3000 - Fan of Gene Siskel - I remember MST3000 a long time ago when it still played on comedy central. Including Joel and his wacky robots insulting the bad movies that were sent. And then there was Mystery Science Theater 3000 the movie which somehow made it really suckier then the movie already was. I will not get into the Joel vs Mike debate. Oh but it gets worse. It runs like a MST3000 ep, but longer and more BOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRING!!!! The first time I saw it I fell asleep after watching Darkman III. I wasn't lucky the second time. It was hell. Fuzzydog, I wanted to give it a bomb, so please add BOMB on there so that way we can finally give the bad movies the rating the deserve. I know that this is unprofesinal, but what can you do about it. I have seen movies that I have enjoyed that many people may dispise. Ignore this movie. And to David Rogers if this insults him. I gave it the chance. Twice, and it FLUNKED hard! - (5/24/00)

Boys Don't Cry -  - Fan of Gene Siskel - I can't BELIEVE you don't have this movie on your page Fuzzydog! Here's my opinion. It is a chilling disturbing movie about a women who has a sexual identity crisis and the results that lead her to be raped and then brutally murdered. Kudos to Swank who I have NO idea how should could play this part. Trust me, you should see this movie. I found out sadly however that Brandon Teena isn't the only victim to such hate crimes. Sadly, there are many others. It almost reminded me of the Holocaust... - (5/24/00)

Anywhere But Here -  - robertg@cybermesa.com - I think that the movie "Anywhere But Here" would have been a complete waste of money if Natalie Portman wasn't in the movie. She is one of the HOTTEST Actress in the world. I would give an arm and a leg to see her in person. - (12/11/99)

End of Days -  - thilo.henn1@de.dreamcast.com - neither a masterpiece nor a good film but gabriel byrne war great and the film had nice effects and some good jokes (but enter on your own risk its a matter of taste) - (12/5/99)

Siegfried and Roy: The Magic Box - jarias_1976@yahoo.com - I just was recently dragged to an IMAX movie by my girlfriend the other day. I had never been to one before, so I didn't know what to expect...whas it goig to be like that Captain EO thing at Disneyland? (I thought!)Then she decided to tell me the subject of the movie. It was a documentary on the lives of Siegfried & Roy. Yeah, I know. like most other people I would have been turned off IMMEDIATELY, but there is no saying "NO" to my girlfriend. after hours of coersion,. I decided to go, and if all else fails...fall asleep, right? So i show up and I actually enjoyed the whole experience. as for the lives of Siegfried and Roy,( the movie itself.) It was actually suprisingly good! I figured if you don't go with preconcieved notions about Siegfroied & Roy, youi might enjoy it! Check it out....especially if you've never experienced IMAX! The visual effects were incredible! by far the best visually stimulating movie I've ever seen!!! - (11/16/99)

Jerry Springer: Ringmaster -  - Piccolo - It's appropriate that a Jerry Springer film adaptation starts and ends in a trailer park. What isn't appropriate is that this slight on the human species is shown anywhere outside trailer parks. Jerry Springer: Ringmaster is the single most self indulgent, masturbatory, distressingly awful load of bollocks any person could have dreamt putting on screen. It's not, as Springer himself tries to reason, a slice of American lifestyle. Rather it's a big green loogie spat right into the face of any person from the other side of the tracks. This film has no reason to be, other than as a tawdry effort to allow the despicable Springer portray himself a well meaning, constantly harassed, nice-guy sex symbol. Give me a goddam break. This is something akin to braiding my cousin's hair, slapping her in a swimsuit and calling her Bo Derek. There's a story in Ringmaster. A really stupid and lame-o one. Truth be told, it's more of an excuse to get some cheap wood out of some not too bright filmgoers. A trailer park mom is married to an unemployed yutz. The yutz is sleeping with the daughter, who gives blowjobs at the local motel. She's engaged to be married to a dimwitted neighbor who ends up sleeping with her mom when mom finds out that hubby is duffing the daughter. Then there's some ghetto wenches whose only real reason for being included is so the odd "beeatch" can be thrown into the dialogue. And in the middle of it all, Springer shrugs his shoulders, makes the bad Jewish jokes, tries to look like the only human being in the mix, shows his awful body (was that really necessary?) and… sings… in a country music bar. Only journaistic integrity stopped me from smashing this tape into a thousand pieces before it was over. Of course, once it was over, and my job as reviewer was done, the smashing did commence with vigor and a evil sense of humor. If there's one redeeming feature of Ringmaster, it's that it gave Michael Dudikoff a chance to get back onto the silver screen after a decade of staright to video crap. The sad part is, of all the crap that he's appeared in previously that didn't make it to the big screen, this is the one that least deserved to. This is the most shameless piece of self congratulatory, self promotion this reviewer has ever witnessed. That it made some $10m upon it's US release is a sad initement on the people of the United States, even if they would have all felt ripped off after seeing it. For non-fans of the TV show, and even die-hard Springer fans, if you fork out one red cent to see, rent or buy this film, you are a dead set lame-ass nutcase. Cut it out Hollywood, you goddam dimwits, you're scaring the crap outta me.

The Haunting -  - gillianlover@hotmail.com - A fun movie where the real star of the show is the actual setting itself -- a magnificently detailed haunted house which is so wondrous as characters venture from room to room that an architect or antique collector would have the time of their lives watching this film. Lili Taylor is convincing in the lead role while other characters don't really do anything to the film, except for Zeta-Jones who offers comic relief where necessary, but not too much. The special effects are good, and the sound effects make the film creepy and, yes, haunting the entire time. It falls apart in the last 10 minutes, but who cares: by this time the film has already made its mark. - (9/28/99)

The Haunting -  - Piccolo - Okay. Is this supposed to funny? A parody maybe? What it is, is pure crap... nothing more! Why you ask? Well... Jan De Bont is obviously smoking some glass dicks lately. Cut back on the crackpipe, and just stop making films altogether. This is painful to watch. Liam Neeson and Lili Taylor are extraordinary talents capable of so much more. Lili Taylor has proven she can give one of the best performances of recent times, with I Shot Andy Warhol... or sink to the absolute nadir with this unwatchable dreck. I cannot begin to fathom how a film like this managed to be released. This is truly the biggest disappointment of the year so far. I had similiar reactions to last year's Psycho, remake. First off, unintentional laughter was perpetual throughout the entire film. The audience laughed at how bad the acting was! I was beside myself. This script should've been burned at the stake. The dialogue is unbelievable bad. The "scares" are obvious from the beginning. There is absolutely nothing redeemable about this film. The film is blinded with constipated effects, that are substituted for the original's film unrelenting psychological terror. The original Haunting did NOT need effects to frighten you. Especially with the amazing Blair Witch Project out now, you can see how to make an effective horror film. If i was a film school teacher, the only reason I'd show this version of the Haunting is to show how NOT to make a horror film. There is a truly creepy sequence in the original that pretty much epitomizes how to make an effective horror film. The character of Eleanor thinks someone is holding her hand... (in case you haven't seen it, i'll refrain from revealing what happens). That moment replicated in this piece of garbage is presented as a throwaway, and instead he makes the house have eyes with overwhelming computer generated effects. Oooohh! Scary! More like funny. Sure the house looks gorgeous, but there is NOTHING to back it up. It's hollow, unscary, superficial, and couldn't give a ten year old nightmares. It's not even fun! It's boring as hell. You don't care what happens to whom and by the end (which is without question the most mind-bogglingly stupid ending in years), you're laughing your ass off all the way out of the theater. I know I was, and I wasn't entertained even in the least. Just perplexed at how frigging awful the thing was. If there was a grade lower than sucks all ass, The Haunting would definitely get it. Avoid this at all costs! It's not even worth the price of a rental. Stick with the original. - (9/19/99)

Blade -  - coolborder.8@hotmail.com - Blade is one of the coolest movie I've seen. Mostly cause it has a combination of everything like: Action(lots), comedy, and horror. The point is that this movie is pretty cool and fun to watch. - (9/13/99)

The Crow -  - slayer133@hotmail.com - This movie is for people who like Action movies. It is one of the best movies I have ever seen great story line, but it is sad that Brandon Lee died in it. So rent this movie today!!! - (9/7/99)

Universal Soldier: The Return -  - hardcorps@aol.com - You know, Van Damme really gets a bad wrap. He's actually a pretty good actor and he makes some really touching, captivating, exciting, and wildy original movies... FOR ME TO SMASH! This has to be my pick for worst movie of the year. It's quite terrible. It is one of the most unoriginal and illogical movies ever. Van Damme plays Luc Devereaux, who was brought back from the dead in the first movie, now had a child and married, but his wife is now dead. That's impossible, how in God's name did he have a kid when he was already dead? That aside... he works for the new Unisol program to develop an army of Unisols, but get this, something goes awry! The Unisols try to take over the world and only one man can stop them! Luc Devereaux! The original Universal Soldier! Great merciful crap, I've never seen anything like this before! There's this character named Romeo (Bill Goldberg) who can not be stopped! He just keeps coming back! He's a super-mutant! And what-the-hell-ever Devereaux does to him, he can't seem to kill him. Then, Michael Jai White comes into the picture as the body for the master computer controlling all the Universal Soldiers, but he is announced as being... A SUPER UNISOL! He's not just a Unisol, he is a SUPER Unisol! Well, whaddya know! And, if you thought THAT was spectacular and original, check this out... this reporter ends up in the middle of the action and Devereaux has to watch after her and they end up falling in love! Who would've imagined THAT happening? I hope this wins the rasberry award for worst picture of the year. - (8/26/99)

Wild Wild West -  - Stupidhead - I sometimes like to sit down and enjoy a flick. But when a movie like Wild Wild West comes along, it makes you pray that there are some smart people who will think twice before releasing a movie of such poor quality. I have only seen one episode of the series of the same name starring Robert Conrad, and I personally didn't like it. And this was for a marathon on Nickelodeon or some channel that plays only the best episodes. I found the show boring and stupid, but it had cheesy effects. Which is the main reason why Hollywood would release it 30 some-odd years when special effects have conquered and rule the world. This movie has no doubt the formula to be a big summer hit. 1. Will Smith stars. 2. Barry Sonenfeld directs. 3. It involves Smith and Kevin Kline (not a picture-perfect couple of actors) saving the world. 4. It has an 80-foot tarantula that blows up a city. Yet, with all these elements, Wild Wild West does not deserve a dime to its name. Smith stars as Jim West, a government agent with a trigger-happy, i'm-gonna-kick-your-ass personality. As for Smith, who I enjoyed in Men In Black and Independence Day, is as lame as the hats he wears in this film. Kline plays Artemus Gordon, a master of disguise and an inventor who invents all sort of crazy shit but is more boring than Smith. Kline also plays President Ulysses S. Grant, boring, but his beard says more than Smith and both Klines together Add it all together, this is one mother-fucking boring "joy ride". The only part that makes this movie one millionth good is Salma Hayeks ass. Salma plays the girl that West and Gordon fight over. She is terribly waisted in this movie and puts another roadblock on her otherwise hopeful career. The terrible villain in this terrible movie is Dr. Loveless (an over-acting Kenneth Branagh) who really poses no threat to Smith besides some quippy remarks that he says about Smith's race. So I plead and beg to the creatos of Wild Wild West, if they make a sequel as boring, expensive, or waste of my time again, I will just have to scream until my lungs escape my body. The lowest rating I can give for this crap-fest is a 1-star, which it really deserves less. But for Salma Hayek's ass, that deserves a perfect 5. So if there is any smart producer out there, they will make "3-hours of Salma's Ass." I'll go see it. - (8/3/99)

8MM -  - jenott@azstarnet.com - Why didn't you rate this movie? It might be a bit disturbing, but in it's weird sick way, it was actually pretty good. I'm taking a wild guess that you saw it so what did you think? - (7/27/99) [Well, you're right...I did see this movie on video just last week, and I agree with you...good film in its own "weird sick way."  Was very impressed by Nicolas Cage's performance, and if I had to I would probably rate the film at 3 1/2 stars. -- fuzzydog]

Run Lola Run -  - jenott@azstarnet.com - My god!!!!! This is a great movie! It ranks #6 on my movie list, but this is one foreign film you have GOT to see! Also see The Children of Heaven which I rate **** and a half stars out of five. (It ranks #4 on my list.) Scratch that. R.L.R is number 4 The Matrix is number 5 and T.C.O.H. is number 6. Well, I still need to figure it out, but for now SEE BOTH OF THEM!!! They're both worth it. - (7/27/99)

Wild Wild West -  - Jade - This movie was so good. Go on with your bad self Will Smith! - (7/20/99)

The Thirteenth Floor  -  - eric_sin-chan@mailcity.com - I'd rather watch Reeves slur his way through THE MATRIX again. The 13th blew mutant goat! I'm going to join the cacophony society... ... and start organizing groups to go to movies like this one and boo when it gets to the part where the movie falls apart. The "studios" copycat concepts and bring them to market, in an effort to capitalize on viewer disappointment, this we know. It is hard to know which one really sucks and which one is really good. The Matrix repeatedly kicks 13 in the teeth in every way. If you are interested in organizing boo-outs, please drop me an email. I would be happy to begin using BOO! as a rating for my movie reviews, in addition to the overly common one star. I'm not even going to dignify this show by saying it had a plot. Sufffice it to say the entire film was shot because of one challenging, multi-layered concept; 1. a fake "world" made of AI "people" breeds two software goobs that 2. make their own fake "world" made of AI "people" wherein 3. conscious is transferred from one world to another with an Intel-sponsored, Stargate-inspired Megacoffin Server 2000 4. so you can git yer jollies without Gonorrhea or headaches. All of this is revealed to us here on earth by A. our NewlyDiscoveredToBeFake main character as he listens B. as the world concept is explained by the DaughterOfTheFakeWorldCreator C. that pops in to explain that she has been in love with him D. so she can git ridda her man back home, and git her jollies. What-the-hell-ever. BOO! - (6/24/99)

Simply Irresistable -  - ShadowRaider_98@yahoo.com - Would someone please introduce Buffy to a slaggin' Uzi or a AK47, or something? Cruel Intentions was better. Oughta be called Simply Irresponsible. Not only that, the attraction of Gellar only goes so far. Woeful exercise. - (6/24/99)

Jawbreaker  -  - ShadowRaider_98@yahoo.com - After that whole Columbine shooting, three girls killing their friend just isn't funny. Can we say Heathers wanna-be? I've seen more creative things in the toliet. Rose is a thin-lipped lousy republican whore, Manson is a crone done sacrafite stupidhead... HEATHERS was 10 times better than this piece of junk - (6/24/99)

54 -  - Klobb - I just about died with boredom...stupid, dumb, a no brainer and dull... Beyond rotten, disco scrubbed clean for "hets" and the "family values" crowd - lies, all lies. - (6/24/99)

Halloween: H20 -  - ShadowRaider_98@yahoo.com - This movie is seriously screwed up. If you want to see a good Halloween, watch the 1st one. Damn you and your movie too. Somebody kick-box that Jamie Lee! - (6/24/99)

Virus -  - ShadowRaider_98@yahoo.com - Yawn. Can we try to make sci-fi/horror movies actually scary? Sutherland is laughably terrible in this crap. Including Jamie Lee Curtis. Sucked a** big! - (6/24/99)

Knock Off -  - ShadowRaider_98@yahoo.com - COMPLETE CRAP!!! A Hong Kong director that is all style and no substance. Totally incomprehensible plot...like anyone cares anyway. Totally incomprehensible action...NOW THIS IS INEXCUSEABLE!!! VanDamme is more animated than usual, which would normally be a good thing, but I for one, do not go to see his films for his ACTING ABILITY (or lack, thereof). The rest of the cast is is COMPLETELY wasted. AND WHAT THE HELL WAS WITH THAT GREEN EXPLOSTION? This movie is a TOTAL waste of time. It is even worth the goddam dollar I spent on it - (6/24/99)

A Night at the Roxbury -  - ShadowRaider_98@yahoo.com - Two not so good looking men making a movie. Why?! A Night at the Roxbury wasn't anything that would ever be considered even close to "funny." Sure, it had a few throwback "ha-ha" moments, but nothing even close to a laugh fest. Mainly, it should be filed under the category "dumb." And how many movies in the next few years are going to rip off Jerry Maguire? C'mon, now. It's getting old. It was funny when Half Baked came out, but that was about it. Regardless. A Night at the Roxbury is basically about two brothers trying to get into... You guessed it. The Roxbury. They're brushed off and pushed aside until a chance encounter with Richard Grieco (Grieco? Let's get someone that's at least had a hit in the last twenty years on screen, guys.) gets them in. From that point on, the brothers' night is wonderful. They meet women, they schmooze with execs, you get the picture. Until the next day. The women find out that they're not rich... Dumped! The exec was supposedly drunk when he was meeting with them... Canned! After a string of events, the brothers "break up" and go their seperate ways. One of them always getting drunk and one of them falling into the clutches of a horrible, horrible, evil woman. But it all ends on a happy, if not stupid, note. The only reason I'm giving this movie a star is because of the ass grabbing thing. That was beautiful. - (6/24/99)

    Who Am I? -  - mayjoe_khoo - no, very good. - (6/14/99)

The Bride of Chucky -  - flirtalert@hotmail.com - It was kinda scary but so so so funny!!!!!Chucky is da bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - (5/25/99)

Celebrity -  - Diana - This movie sucked don't watch it except if you want to wait 45min. to watch Leo DiCaprio get it on for 2 min. (That was not bad, though but absolutely not worth my $8.50 it's boring and I wish I never saw it!!!!!!!)" -  (3/17/99)

Empire Records -  - sal_chaos@email.com - This is the greatest movie to have ever been put together. Ethan Embry, Rory Cochrane, and Liv Tyler give outstanding performances. Brendan Sexton III is very funny. Yu should really watch it! - (3/16/99)

Cruel Intentions -  - Tandytally@yahoo.com - This is absolutely the BEST movie of the year. No matter what has come before or will come after, this movie tops them all. Ryan Phillippe could not have done a better job and the rest of the cast was awesome as well. Go see this movie as soon as humanly possible. I promise you that you will love it as much as I do. - (3/14/99)

54 -  - maja_828@hotmail.com - Jag tycker att "54" var bra, Ryan Phillipe är ju sååå jävla snygg!!!! Slurp! Det är dåligt att Neve Campbell och Salma Hayek täcker själva filmaffischen, det är ju Ryan som har huvudrollen..... - (3/14/99)

Jawbreakers -  - Kimberly Imri Metcalf - It was kind of a dark comedy and some people might not like it but I sure did! - (2/26/99)

Newsies -  - fullofaith@juno.com - This movie was the best with the songs and the choreograpy. I love the dancing and the songs are very catchy. The movie also does a tremendous job of portraying the lifestyle of kids during that time period. It is definantly 5 stars. - (2/26/99)

Blade -  - hmccorvey@tyler.net - Blade is the best Wesley Snipes film yet! Wesley has really developed those martial arts skills! If you like action, this is the film for you. I also feel that it was the year's most under-rated film. The idea about a "secret society" of vampires among the populus is thought provoking. This is a vampire movie with a new twist- the special effects (vampires disintegrating upon destruction) kind of makes it understandable that it has not been proven that they ever existed!!! Excellent movie - (2/3/99)

    54 -  - jonna41@hotmail.com - (2/1/99)

Varsity Blues -  - Gymnas4855@aol.com - This is definitely a movie for teens. I would say that you have to be at least 13 to see this movie. But, it's a great movie. If you love football, like I do, you'll love Varsity Blues. But, you probably have to be a football fanatic to love it. - (1/30/99)

54 -  - xtcn99 - Ryan is sooo hot!!!!!!!!! He is a god!!!!! Not many people noticed him in I Know What You Did Last Summer, but there's no way that you could miss his hot a** in Studio 54!!!!! - (1/28/99)

Back to the Future II -  - James Joule - It stink because I can't find anything on hoverboards picts i mean. - (1/25/99)

From Dusk Till Dawn -  - sbeirne@nsw.bigpond.net.au - What a funny movie ! I know that its a horror, but the shift in the story and the weapons and the vampires are funny. Tarantino and Clooney do an excellent job in the leads, and I wish I could have seen what you thought of it ! - (12/4/98)

Starship Troopers -  - ronin@dccnet.com - This movie was so bad, there is'nt enough room for me to give a full explanation. I'll just say this movie lacks plot, sensible acting, and smart characters. - (11/8/98)

Halloween H20 -  - sbeirne@nsw.bigpond.net.au - One of the best films under the horror genre in history. A riveting, scary, thrilling final chapter to the very well done Halloween series. - (11/1/98)

The Fugitive -  - j.m.j.griff@bigpond.com - This is an excellent movie. The best movie ever made. From the train crash to the St. Patricks day parade this is a truly brilliant movie. Harrison Ford is almost as good as the original Dr. Richard Kimble, played by the late David Janssen. Even the scenes with Sam Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones) you want him to catch Kimble, Even though you know he is innocent, But when it switches back to Kimble you want him to find the One-armed man!!!! - (7/10/98)

Sunset Boulevard -  - mchomistek@hotmail.com - I gave Sunset Blvd 5 stars because it is a very refreshing break from most movies made today. It did not try to cheer you up or excite you, it merely tried to tell a story the way it was meant to be told. - (7/6/98)

Operation Condor -  - pandeylalit@hotmail.com - I am a grate Jackie Chan fan and this is an amaging movie having a lot of comedy and excellent martial art with a grate diraction of jackie Chan. Starship Troopers -  - I don't know how you didn't rate this movie. It's the coolest ! It's got it all, good SCI/FI, action, gore, laughs and creepy crawlies It's just so good ! - David - (5/8/98)

Snake and Craine - Jackie Chan is the best actor of martial arts of the world. I am from Colombia South America and i practice martial arts. Jackie was my inspiration to practice. I think everyone likes this movie!! (feel free to E-mail me on what you think of my opinion) - shotgunshells@geocitics.com - (5/1/98)

    Basketball Diaries -  - anonymous - (5/1/98)

Home Alone 3 -  - One cannot be biased about this film as it is definitely not a copy of the original two Home Alone films. The four villains, while not as famous as the two crooks from the original, had much greater depth and they seemed like professional theives rather than comic two-dimensional characters. The action scenes were much more high-tech and detailed than before, with Alex D. Linz providing a healthy lead. Go see it. - mburn@ozemail.com.au - (4/26/98)

Flubber -  - it is the worst film i have seen. Some men do stupid things and they think its funny. NEVER NEVER GO THAT FILM. I think this film is very very very bad. I hope there is nobody who is very WHO IS VERY STUPID TO GO FLUBBER." - Zeynep Uygun - (4/12/98)

Crush -  - I thought this was a pretty good movie, compared to what I thought it was gonna be. I liked that they portrayed Gweneth paltrow as a strong character, both phisically & mentally. She wasen't just another dumb bimbo like in the rest of the movies.I thought it was more realistic than a normal suspense flick. - swee7drmr@aol.com - 3/28/98

Gone Fishin' -  - I'm very sorry to the makers of the film but I think that it sucked! It is a stupid movie about stupid people! Compare it to Titanic and it seems like the worst movie ever made!!!! Even my Dad thinks it's terrible and he likes nearly every movie made!!!! If you haven't seen it yet don't go and waste your money on this sucky film! If I was aloud I would have put no stars! - mcauliffe@omcs.com.au - 3/21/98

Heat -  - This is an old movie but most people probably over looked it. I was at the video store trying to find a good movie to rent but there was nothing. I saw this movie and since there was nothing else to rent I got it. It has good actors in it such as Robert DeNiro and Val Kilmar. When the movie ended I couldn't believe that I had missed such a great movie. I am glad I rented it and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes movies that show both points of veiw from the criminals and the cops. - sdhesi@ix.netcom.com - 2/13/98

    Clerks -  - the best movie I have ever seen. - mallrats@videotron.ca - 10/18/97

Planet of the Apes -  - Most people will remember this movie as a definte product of the 70's! and it certainly looks its age. However, the ape special effects are excellent and the intriguing premisis is played out well. Very well acted by Charles Heston and probably one of the most dramatic endings of all time!. Well worth a look. Followed by a number of lesser sequels. - wgall@es.co.nz - 9/14/97

Nothing to Lose -  - This was the most funny movie so far this summer. It has a great plot. Martin Lawerence is fantastic along with Tim Robins. If you haven't seen this one your missing it. - ducharme2@juno.com - 7/19/97

    Metro -  - Very very violent. No humor. I wouln't recommend to anyone. - liggett@hpsmds.lvld.hp.com - 1/20/97

The Pallbearer -  - The ultimate CRINGE movie, he kept doing the stupidest things and I kept wanting to slap him! And talk about a bad hair lifetime!!! The BRIGHT point of the movie was Toni Collette (what a star). - frs_up@net1.nw.com.au - 12/20/96

The Crow: City of Angels -  - Dear fellow movie boffins--It is very well known that the above named movie attained a level of notoriety due to the many bad reviews printed about it, but have you all seen it to make up your own minds yet? I suspect that few of you have which is why I wish to inform you all that you CANNOT compare this movie to the original Crow film starring Brandon Lee. Every review I have read of this film to date says that it is insignificant when compared to the original movie, but I say to you that it is TOO DIFFERENT from the first movie for it to be compared and badly criticized in this manner. To start with, the love and subsequent sorrow felt by the main character Ashe is over the death of his SON. A father-son relationship is very different from the love shared beteween man & woman. This intrinsically alters the format of this movie right from the beginning almost. Secondly, the main "Baddie" - Judas Earl is evil, but in a very different way to "Top Dollar" (the main baddie in t! he original Corw movie). Again, this alters the story significantly. Please take this film on it's own merits and I'm sure you will agree that it is a hugely enjoyable movie, thank you for reading this letter. - G.Walker@gcal.ac.uk - 12/09/96  (...movie boffins?)

The Craft -  - "The Craft was an excellent movie for the X-generation, but older people with strong Christian beliefs were, I found, very offended by the movie. I give it an over-all B+."  - anonymous entry - 11/27/96

Set It Off -  - "This movie represents exploits the idea of woman hood. I guess woman can be rough and hard and rob banks just as men can." - Anthony W. - 11/25/96

Cyrano de Bergerac -  - seh0935@garnet.acns.fsu.edu - "I first saw this movie during my Senior year in High School. I believe it should only be seen in the original French version with subtitles, no dubbing. The actress who portrayed Roxane did it beautifully, truly expressing the sorrow and joy she was meant to feel. Cyrano was also performed well-always witty till the end. FIVE STARS does not even give it the glory it deserves." 9/16/96

(...for movies that we rated but didn't review--responses for movies
with full reviews are posted on the review page of those movies.)

Batman -  - A BATMAN movie when CAT WOMAN comes bak for revenge. it would be the last batle between good and evil - Cameron Falany - 11/14/98

Seven -  - Why don't all of your movies have ratings like R, PG-13, pg and G???" - IvyLeaves79@yahoo.com - 11/13/98 (We put MPAA ratings on all our fully reviewed films, but unfortunately haven't done so for films we haven't fully reviewed...sorry about that! -- fuzzydog)

12 Monkeys -  - Not easy to follow... do not blink your eyes to much. If you can that you'll see the movie is just great! - eapoe@cistron.nl - 10/29/98

Goldeneye -  - Becuse of the violce and sex sence. - Brian Dhloposky - 9/30/98

Brazil -  - For once, someone who actually agrees with me on this film! "Brazil" was sheer brilliance, visually stunning, mind-warping filmmaking. It was criticized heavily by many (even Roger Ebert gave it 2 stars), for reasons I can't comprehend. Anyway, great list of your favorite flicks. - Gizmo95958@aol.com - 8/10/98

Lethal Weapon 2 -  - "Lethal Weapon 2 (1989, R, 113 min with Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, Joe Pesci, and Patsy Kensit) LW2 is a must for action fans. This time around, Riggs and Murtaugh are up against a bunch of Bad-ass South African diplomat drug runners, whom they can't touch because of diplomatic immunity. But Riggs isn't about too let this get in the way. Riggs and Murtaugh also have to protect a fast talking real-estate agent named Leo Getz (Pesci), who was paid off by the diplomats to keep his mouth shut about certain deals (which if i tell you about, it would be a spoiler). I don't want to give too much away, but what ensues are car-chases, explosions, a brutal knife-fight, Murtaugh shooting a guy in the head with a nail gun, and Riggs finding out the reason for his wifes death. And thats the least of the worst that happens. Even though it has some cliches, LW2 is a great movie, keeps moving at a fast pace and actually makes alot of sense. See It! Rated R for Bloody Violence, Brief female nudity, a sex scene, & profanity." - chris_frantz@hotmail.com - 5/24/98

Top Gun -  - "Tom Cruise is the cutest man in the whole wide world. I loved him in this film." - anonymous entry - 3/4/98

    The Godfather -  - "Simply put the Greatest Movie I've ever seen!!" - The.don@tsb.inet-images.com - 12/12/96

The Brady Bunch Movie -  - "The Brady Bunch movie *was* one of the worst I'd ever seen. I got it for free but I don't even think it was worth the gas money. Do you think it was even worth reviewing?" - ed.oliver@snet.net - 11/24/96  (Actually, I didn't review it--just rated it.  I also saw it for free and it's horrible!)

Star Wars -  - "This movie is the classic of a lifetime" - anonymous entry - 11/22/96

Aliens -  - "Just a suggestion... add that last 1/2 star to Aliens!!!!!" - Zed22@aol.com - 9/25/96   (Alright, I've thought it over and I'm taking your suggestion.  Aliens now has a 5-star rating -- 12/06/96)

    GENERAL QUESTIONS

"I saw The War at Home last week and it's the best movie I've seen this year but you haven't reviewed it....my friends who were with me agreed and so did most of the audience by the look of the reaction...why no review?" - 106236.2314@compuserve.com - 11/27/96  (With as many movies as there are coming out at one time, there's no way I can review all of them, so it's up to you to fill in the gaps! Thanks for writing! -- 11/28/96)

"I think Bruce Willis is hot as in fine and I love his moves I think he is very talented he would be great in every move even if it showed a glinse of him thank your number one fan Jacqueline Morales" - Jacqueline Morales - 10/16/99

"I was wondering if you had set up a link to the Academy Awards site yet, or if you were planning on it. Another idea is a page for all of us to vote on who we want to win the awards. I see that a lot of the movies that have actors/actresses nominated haven't graced this website. Actually, I'm kind of embarrassed that I missed Boogie Nights, myself (that grand 70s man, Burt Reynolds, is up for a supporting actor oscar). But nonetheless, this is the best year that I've seen for movies in recent memories, across almost all genres except comedy (haven't seen a great comedy in about 2 years). Thanks for keeping the memories going. God Bless!" - dreeves@cpis.net - 3/6/98

"Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant !!!!! The best movie page around! It has info, good reviews and you let other people tell you what they think. It is the PERFECT movie page. I love it!" - mburn@ozemail.com.au - 2/4/98

"I was pointed to your page by a net-friend of mine and I'm sufficiently impressed to be writing this message! The style and content of the resource strikes a chord with the qualities I look for in a web site (its nice not too be overwhelmed with ad banners and midi-type add-ins). However, I feel that you should shorten your front page greatly. At the moment it just takes too long to load and it's easy to succomb to the temptation to stop and go away - not the first impression you want to create! That said, the information is useful, it's just the position that's the problem. Anyway, how long have you been doing this? I've never noticed this address before (on search engines etc). Cheers, Damian." - dbc@star.sr.bham.ac.uk - 12/06/96 (Thanks for the advice, Damian.  The page will be shortened shortly. In response to your other question, this page has existed since July of 1996, though it's been at this address for only a few weeks.  P.S. - Those of you who might be interested should check out Damian's Movie Reviews UK site. -- 12/06/96)

"Hello!  Very impressive page. Found it via a search in Yahoo. I was in a wandering mood and looking for some movie pages! Anyway, I was wondering if you would be interested in providing a link to my similar page. It's a movie review site that I update weekly. Check it out: MCMAHON AT THE MOVIES.  Thanks for your consideration and keep up the good work!" - Frank McMahon - 12/01/96  (Okay, folks, check it out! -- 12/01/96)

"I thought you might want to know that the program you are using to create your page is assigning links to your computer directory instead of the http directory. If you don't know what I'm talking about, look at ... the same problem happens with the back button...Talk to you later, Tyler.  P.S. I enjoy your pages." - 11/27/96 (Thanks, Tyler, and if anyone finds any other problems with these pages, please let me know! -- 11/28/96)

"I was in my daily search for Princess Bride sites when I found yours popping up today. Quite a nice movie page. One of the better out there (and I've seen them ALL). I like the stars and the reviews are very good as well. The reason I'm looking for Princess Bride pages is that the movie is not available any more. It's been out of print for almost a year and everyplace in the world is out. I've been making daily calls since July...even called Canada and Ireland. Everyone and their dog says Princess Bride is incredible, yet I can't get a copy to watch/own. I've never seen it before. Sigh. Well anyway good job. If you know of someone with a real VHS tape of it and they are willing to part for bookoo bucks then let me know." - phild@dtn.com - 11/14/96 (can anyone help Phil with his search for The Princess Bride? -- 11/28/96)
